Artur Ramon Art: A new season has begun – it's the rentrée, and at ARTUR RAMON ART we are back with renewed energy, with an exhibition showcasing our professional task, which can only be defined by the works of art we deal in. Four years ago, we set ourselves two goals that we thought essential to face the challenges that lay ahead: modernization and internationalization. We wanted to redefine a company that will turn eighty-five next year and discover new markets with the highest standards. We are proud to have achieved both goals in such a short time and in an extremely difficult international climate. Our company has renewed itself and embraced specialization. The traditional antique shop has become an antique gallery with a multidisciplinary, humanistic approach: we use scientific rigour to promote the works that impress us because of their quality, regardless of all fashions, labels or periods. This is why we have added the word "Art" to our name – to provide orientation in a slightly confusing environment. Over the past four years, some of our best works have become national heritage, having been purchased by such institutions as the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya, the Museo del Prado, the Museo del Romanticismo in Madrid and the Museo de Burgos, to name only a few. We have also specialized in works on paper and taken part in the two most important specialist fairs – TEFAF Maastricht and the Paris Salon du Dessin. Our participation in those fairs has allowed us to contact such museums and institutions as the Musée du Louvre, the Fondation Custodia and the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa, which have become our clients. We deal in excellence, and this exhibition bears witness to this fact. We have grouped the best works in sections to allow the visitors to feel as if they were at a fair stand. This is more than the first exhibition of the new season – it is our novelty catalogue, our credentials, our professional DNA. ARTUR RAMON
