  The quality of this San Agustín is very high, and the placement of the mantle, the fall of the historic fabric also denotes a high level; Furthermore, the contemplative face of the saint, surprised by the child's argument, is executed with great confidence, using non-mimetic brushstrokes, which even remind us of Orazio Borgianni (also note the sumptuousness of the red tones of the lower part of the cloak), who , as has already been noted, must have been a reference in Bassetti's Roman years.
